Day 305: Bokeelia, FL
Sunny and warm.
Last week when I did a longer walk I found some nice little stucco ranch houses for sale on canals. Tom came back with me later and we checked and they are upwards of a half a million each. Of course you would need to get your toys, like a boat or two, etc.
We think it would be really nice to have a vacation home here, with the proximity to Captiva and Sanibel Island and Fort Myers, etc. However, I am reminded that Florida is sinking and if it sinks much, and the oceans rise, the roads and some buildings could be washed out after storms. And we (probably our descendants) would have to build higher. Tom thinks the roads at least could be built up by the transportation department people.
Today we found these houses by boating to the canals they are on. It’s pretty darn nice back in here.
