Here she is, our new truck camper! Meet Clark. We have named the truck Lulu after the bear that was being chased by its bigger, mama bear in Haines, Alaska*. So we will be traveling in our rig, Lulu and Clark.
Tonight will be our first night in Clark. We picked her up Friday afternoon near Raleigh, North Carolina. We stayed with niece and husband, Bridget and Phillip, that night. Last night we stayed in Charlotte with friends Andy and JoEllen.
We realized that the first trip we took with Arvi was to Great Smoky Mountains National Park in November 2018. And unintentionally, it is our first destination with the new truck camper.
We are on our way to Seattle and have three weeks to get there. Our original intent was to go from northern Michigan through the northern tier of states, taking our time, with only the Little Big Horn battlefield a bucket list item so far. Since we decided to go straight to Seattle from North Carolina, we will definitely check out some unexpected places!
It’s entertaining to learn the nicknames of people’s RVs. We call our van Alice. Have a fun and safe trip to the west coast!
