Day 317: Bokeelia, FL
Sunny and warm.
One last check of the property and we are on the road.
Lovebugs Day 3
We stopped at a rest area in Lake City, Florida. We had already been to a gas station to wash the windshield once. Tom decided it was better not washing a bug as it hits and it’s probably a good thing, because we must’ve had 1000 bugs smack the windshield which would’ve smeared heavy had we run the wipers over them.
At the rest stop, I was just cracking up at all the vehicles and how spotted they were with lovebugs.
Once we drove north of Lake City, the love bugs were gone.
We settled at a cute little place in Griffin, Georgia, called Lollipop Farms. This is a Harvest Hosts place and we bought some eggs from a cute little girl and watched her put the chickens in their pen for the evening and round up her two horses and a pony.
Omg those love bugs are plentiful, but the pony and chickens, Adorable!
