Day 316: Bokeelia, FL

Cloudy, looks like rain.

Had a nice Mother’s Day chat with all four kids! They are looking good. All are still working, two from the home, and two in the military.

More flowers around Bokeelia.

We started seriously preparing for departure. I did some floor washing and some furniture moving. Tom spent a lot of time on the phone with Ray the homeowner finding out how Ray would like us to leave the place. We are getting the place ready for long-term shut down. I have heard them call it “summerizing” here in Florida.

There is an outbreak of bugs! I have seen some here or there, but today they are thick on the porch upstairs flying all over the place. They fly in twos. I assume it is a male and female in some sort of reproductive stance. Ray says they are called lovebugs and they live paired up like that.
