Day 83: Seattle, WA
Cloudy and cool.
Kelsey had to work so we did some tasks and errands that we’ve been waiting to do. In fact, we made a decent sized list of things that need to be done. We tried to get the shopping done Friday to avoid weekend traffic.
Seattle has so many cool restaurants. Breakfast was at Coyle’s Bakery, a yummy place just up the road from Kelsey and Greg’s house, that we found on a previous trip, with not your usual baked goods.
We had lunch at Din Tai Fung, a great dumpling place that seems to always have a waitlist.
We had dinner with Kelsey at this cool party store with an extensive selection of beers both on tap and in six packs: Chucks Hop Shop and Kegs To Go. There are tables right in the store, where you can enjoy your beverage, and a food truck outside to get a bite to eat. This food truck was New Orleans style cuisine. Kelsey had jambalaya and Tom and I shared a shrimp po’boy. Then we had fresh beignets!
