Day 74: Doris Creek Campground near the Hungry Horse Dam, MT

Sunny and cool.

Apparently Glacier National Park is a big deal. It is just after 10 AM and there are dozens of cars streaming in, waiting to enter the park.

We were in one of the vehicles, and found our way to the Visitor Center and then to Avalanche Creek Campground. We obtained one of the few sites left In Avalanche.

We had a smoked salmon omelette then went on a hike to Avalanche Lake. We walked five miles through a dark cedar rain forest and found the lake, along with a hundred other hikers. There were turbulent waterfalls on the way.

It was a satisfying hike and day. We topped it off with tequila and smoked pork chops and Caesar salad.
