Day 41: Ninilchik, AK

Sunny and warm.

Going to Kodiak Island is as difficult as going to Sebuku Island, Indonesia. You can only get there by boat or plane. Considering our proximity to Kodiak, we thought we would try to arrange a trip, and save Sebuku for another time.

** Nine hours later **

Done. We did laundry at a cool diner/laundry/shower business which was very nice inside in Anchor Point.

By the way, Anchor Point is the westernmost point on a US highway. There’s that!

Then we went to the Anchor Point library, figured out the ferry, car rental and hotel to go to Kodiak Monday through Friday. We also booked the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) ferry to Bellingham for September 1 through 7. From Bellingham we will go to Glacier National Park.

Time for a beer, but the breweries close by 7!!!! And Tom is sick, so much for celebrating.
