Day 35: Anchorage, AK
Sunny and warm
First thing in the morning we headed to the Botanical Gardens to look around some more.
I would fit in living in Alaska. CHECK OUT THIS AWESOME VAN for sale we saw in the Sportsman’s Warehouse. 1990, 65000 miles for $7500. We could take this on any road Alaska throws at us. As it is, we realized Arvi is a gentleman’s camper and there are some places we cannot go.
We went to downtown Anchorage and did some shopping and looked at the visitor center. We found the open market and walked around a lot. I really had a nice time. We shared a spicy reindeer hot dog and listened to a musician.
Then we passed Matanuska Brewing and turned right around. Their beers are very good and so are their halibut tacos. Nicely spicy.
We then left town and drive back to the Kenai Peninsula toward Homer and found an overnight spot along the road to Hope.
