Dawson City YT, Canada is a pretty fun town. It is far from sophisticated. The roads are dirt and where there are sidewalks they are wood.
When driving into town the terrain is covered with rock from long time ago gold mining operations. At one time it was the capital of the Yukon.
.
The people here are very friendly and welcoming.
We lucked into a community day picnic lunch of hamburgers and hotdogs. It was a nice free lunch.
The show at Diamond Gertie’s is short and fun. Pay the $15 entrance fee, take in the show, and grab some dinner.
The Dawson City Museum is well done. If you go don’t miss the movie “City Of Gold”.
The town has several coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs to satisfy your hunger.
We took the free ferry across the Yukon River and were off to the “Top Of The World Road”.
