Day 4: Grand Marais, MN
Sunny and hot.
On our way to Duluth. We still need to decide what route to Alaska from here.

Stopped at Gooseberry Falls, a beautiful spot where people were climbing all over and wading. The weather is perfect for this activity.
Had lunch at Betty’s Pies, which appears to be THE place to eat on the Minnesota shoreline. We shared a sandwich and Tom had blueberry peach and I had coconut turtle pie. It was so busy that we got ours to go. I would recommend it. “When in Rome….”

We passed the afternoon at a rocky beach just north of two harbors. All of a sudden a crazy cold wind and fog blew in and we had to go put on warmer clothes. While in the parking lot, we showed Arvi to a young woman with her family who said she was jealous of us.

We went into the town of Two Harbors and were treated to the loading of the freighter Cason J Calloway.

We went back to the rocky beach and looked for special stones, but no luck.
Spent the night at Walmart in Duluth.
