100 Ticks

The tick season is started already here in northern Michigan.   Found my first tick on me on April 17th, 2021.  It seems early.

Last year (2020) we counted 100 ticks by the end of the season. It will be interesting what this year will bring. I saw in the paper today that ticks are up this year.

So far as of May 19th we are at 36. Most of them on Joe the dog or his bed.

I’ll take no-see-ums over ticks any day. Two days in Michigan and I already had 6 ticks on me.

We spent the past two months in Florida battling no-see-ums. No-see-ums are a nuisance but ticks give me the heebie-jeebies. 

Since returning to Michigan, we have found 100 ticks, either on me, Jen, the dog Joe or on the floor around Joe’s bed.
