Day 230: Midway, AL
Sunny and mild.
The day started out alright. Tom felt a little better. We said goodbye to Jacob and Anna. Young Eli was already at school and was sad that he didn’t get to say goodbye.
Staying with this young couple and seeing how they are living was a memorable experience. It takes special people to move to an area that has seen better times, and be a bright spot. The home they are living in was donated to Servant Care. And they have done a lot of work, along with volunteers who stay there, to maintain this beautiful place.
Since the next two days are supposed to be sunny, we decided to go to a campground and sit in the sun, where we would be away from people and just be sick. As soon as we got there, I felt dead to the world. Tom helped set me up a place to sleep on the picnic table and I took a long nap in the sun. Then my Mexican Valentine’s Day lunch came up. Yuck. I had no energy at all the rest of the evening and spent most of my time sleeping or hurling.
Awwwww sorry your sick but glad you enjoyed your visit at The Resting Place. It’s nice to see those giving for others…
