Day 194: Martin Dies, Jr. State Park, TX
Cloudy, warm, looks like rain.
So we crossed to Louisiana just to get a map and travel information. But at that point, why go back to Texas? We spent 5 1/2 weeks there, and there was nothing else we were hoping to see. So we move on.
We got lots of ideas for things to see and places to eat in this land of swamps. I’m looking forward to it!
Only thing is, camping at the state parks costs about double the parks in Texas, where we were able to get an annual pass.
Here at Louisiana’s Sam Houston Jones State Park, we had an unofficial Camp Host. Really tempted to put him in Arvi and take him along!
He’s got the most intense green eyes I’ve ever seen. This picture does not do them justice!
oh I bet you guys come along to some great southern food, and the kitty is adorable, such great company!!
