Day 129: River Island State Park, AZ
Sunny and very warm.
We decided to hang around this part of Arizona because the weather is very pleasant. We went to a wildlife refuge and did a little hike up a hill today.
Now, I am not making this up. A wealthy Arizona man bought the London bridge when he heard it was for sale in 1967. He brought it piece by piece to the US by ship and had it put back together here at Lake Havasu. Then he sold all the land around it and recouped his money!
Now lake Havasu has a cute little waterfront with lots of pontoon boats and recreational boats that go out into the lake.
