Day 16: Whitehorse, YT
Cloudy windy and cool.
We were hoping to get the windshield fixed today. When Tom called the insurance company, they gave us an appointment for a week from today. So we changed the location from here in Whitehorse to Fairbanks, where we will easily be there in one week, by the grace of God. So instead we walked around Whitehorse and walked a mile and a half each way to a brewery that had no food. Well, guess what happened.
Whitehorse turned out to be a great place!
Hungry since we had only beer for lunch, we found a restaurant through Google Maps, called Klondike Rib and Salmon, at 4 pm. We shared a dinner of both the aforementioned and I ordered a piece of fish as well. Great food!
There is much mention of First Nation here. Logical, as this is mostly their land. I’m just noticing the phraseology.
Another word about phraseology: bear spray is as much an everyday term as gas station in these parts!
